The International Conference on History, Theory and Methodology of Learning (ICHTML)
is a peer-reviewed international conference, which covers a wide range of topics related to the history, theory, and methodology of learning.
The conference is focused on exploring innovative approaches to learning, as well as examining the theoretical underpinnings of various learning models
and methodologies.
The conference aims to bring together researchers, educators, and practitioners from different fields who are interested in understanding how people
learn, how learning can be facilitated and improved, and how learning practices and theories have evolved over time.
The conference provides a platform for sharing research findings, exchanging ideas, and discussing the latest trends and developments in the field of learning.
It encourages interdisciplinary collaborations, as well as discussions on the integration of new technologies in the learning process.
We invite you to participate in the conference and look forward to fruitful cooperation.
Authors are invited to submit full (and original research) papers (at least 6 pages) including surveys, tutorials, perspective/colloquia articles in conference topics of interest through the HotCRP (https://notso.easyscience.education/ichtml/2023) by July 15, 2023.
Submitted papers will be peer-reviewed by three reviewers on the basis of technical quality, relevance, originality, significance, and clarity. If necessary, a fourth, additional reviewer will be involved. The Program Committee will use these reviews to determine which papers will be accepted for presentation at the conference. The result of the reviewing will be announced to the submitting authors by email, along with reviewer comments, if any.
We are pleased to announce that due to the sponsorship of ACNS, the Educational Dimension editorial board, and the SUES (Supporting Ukrainian Editorial Staff) initiative, authors of accepted papers will have the option to choose between two publication opportunities:
We encourage authors to carefully consider which publication opportunity best fits their research needs and goals. We are proud to offer these options and believe they will provide valuable exposure for the outstanding research being presented at ICHTML.
Besides, some tips on how to write a title and an abstract in a proper way are given in this document. Please read it carefully.
We are excited to announce that, in order to support the advancement of high-quality academic conferences in Ukraine, the Academy of Cognitive and Natural Sciences will be waiving all author publication fees this year. This means that authors will be able to publish their work in the ICHTML 2023 proceedings books (to be published by SCITEPRESS) and any of ACNS journals, including Educational Dimension and Educational Technology Quarterly, free of charge.
To further support this initiative, the ICHTML program chairs are pleased to waive the registration fee for all authors. This is a fantastic opportunity for authors to share their research and contribute to the academic community without any financial burden. We encourage authors to take advantage of this unique opportunity and submit their work to ICHTML 2023.

Research articles should contain sufficient background and motivation and they should present proofs, where applicable, or at least outlines of such in sufficient detail to enable an expert to complete them. Thus summaries and mere announcements of papers appearing elsewhere cannot be included, although more detailed versions of e.g. a highly technical contribution may well be published elsewhere later.
Surveys should cover a sufficiently broad topic, and should normally not just review the author's own recent research. In the case of surveys proofs of results may not be necessary.
We intend to publish ICHTML post-proceedings of selected papers in the Educational Dimension journal. For this, full papers must be submitted until the post-proceedings deadline. The authors of all presented contributions will have the opportunity (but no obligation) to submit a full paper for the formal post-proceedings. These must represent original work and should not be submitted to another conference at the same time. The submission deadline for these post-proceedings will be after the conference in November 2023. There will be a second round of reviewing for selecting papers to be published in the formal proceedings.
We would like to clarify that as conference organizers, we do not have any formal relationships with indexing databases such as DOAJ, Scopus, Web of Science, and others. As a result, we cannot make any promises regarding the indexing of conference proceedings or individual papers in these databases.
We kindly ask that authors refrain from contacting us regarding indexing inquiries, as we are unable to provide any further information on this matter. If you have any questions or concerns about indexing, we recommend that you reach out directly to the indexing databases in question.
Our focus as conference organizers is to provide a platform for high-quality academic research and facilitate the dissemination of knowledge. We are committed to ensuring a smooth and seamless publication process for all accepted papers, and we look forward to showcasing the excellent work of our authors.
